Elections 2018 are open

It is time for elections again! As announced in the Autumn 2018 Newsletter and the ESEE website, this year, the terms of office of the ESEE President, two Vice-Presidents and three Board Members are ending after three years. As we aim to fill these positions, we kindly invite all ESEE members to vote for the office of these positions.

The ballot will close on Monday, December 24, 2018 at 23.59 CET.

Research Associate / Postdoc (3 years) on policy and governance analysis at TU Dresden, Germany

At the International Institute Zittau, a Central Academic Unit of the TU Dresden, Germany, the Chair of Ecosystem Services offers a fulltime position as a Research Associate / Postdoc (3 years) at the next possible date, with a focus on policy analysis and governance research in the third-party funded research project MORE STEP – Mobility at risk: Sustaining the Mongolian Steppe Ecosystem. This is an interdisciplinary project aiming to investigate social-ecological dynamics in the Mongolian steppe ecosystem in order to identify irreversible changes (tipping points), their possible consequences and available response options.

Spring 2018 newsletter published

We are pleased to inform you that the spring 2018 edition of the ESEE newsletter prepared by the ESEE Board is online.

Jasper Kenter writes in his editorial about the strikes of staff in higher education in the UK. In the news section, Tom Bauler informs about a planned special issue with conference papers from the ESEE2017 in Budapest, and Begüm Ozkaynak presents the results of the ESEE election in December 2017. Federico Demaria writes in the hot topic about the 10th birthday of degrowth.
