A new outlet for your research!
European Environment re-launches as
Environmental Policy and Governance in 2009
Dear Colleague,
Wiley-Blackwell and the ERP Environment editorial team would like to announce
that the journal, European Environment, will re-launch from 2009, which
will see the journal extend its scope and start a new partnership with the
European Society for Ecological Economics (ESEE).
Renamed as Environmental Policy and Governance from
Volume 19, No. 1 (2009) Print ISSN: 1756-932X and Online ISSN: 1756-9338 - the
journal will continue to publish applied, policy relevant research papers but
with a broadened geographical scope and an expanded focus on environmental
governance issues from across the environmental social sciences and at the
inter-face between the social and natural sciences.
The journal's editor Andrew Gouldson comments on the forthcoming re-launch:
"Since it's launch in 1991, European Environment has
become established as a leading journal for applied environmental policy
analysis in Europe. However, policy is changing, new forms of environmental
governance are emerging and the associated debates are becoming much more
international and inter-disciplinary in their scope. The re-launch of the
journal - and our new affiliation with the European Society for Ecological
Economics - will allow us to engage much more fully in these debates - and to
strengthen our position as a leading international journal that publishes
influential research papers on environmental policy and governance".
Call for Papers and Special Issues |
The journal is currently inviting submissions of papers and
proposals for special issues which reflect this new and exciting expanded focus
of the journal.
The journal invites analyses that are at the forefront of academic debates and
that are of practical significance and policy relevance. In particular, papers
that draw on, and contribute to the further development of, disciplines such as
international relations, politics, law, economics, sociology, management,
geography, development studies and science and technology studies are welcome,
as are those that integrate the environmental sciences into contemporary debates
on policy and governance. It particularly welcomes policy relevant contributions
from the field of ecological economics.
All papers will be double-blind refereed to the highest standards by the
international, inter-disciplinary editorial board. We aim to give constructive
feedback to submitting authors and to move accepted papers towards publication
as quickly and efficiently as possible.
How to submit your research |
The journal operates an online submission and peer review system that allows you
to submit articles online and track their progress. The journal also offers
Early view where your articles may appear online ahead of print, thereby
increasing the readership and citation potential of your article.
